Movin' & Shakin'

They are both walking now! Luke has only been at it for almost a week, so he is still a little unsteady, but he's doing wonderfully!

One dilemma I'm having is with shoes. Most of the summer shoes or sandals I've seen have a thick sole, which makes it hard for the boys to walk. Forget about sandals with things that go between the toes - it's too uncomfortable for them to walk in. What summer shoes or sandals do you recommend for new walkers?

We have been using the little leather shoes that dont really have a true sole... You can get them at target...

My daughter is eleven months and stomps around in shoes from See Kai Run. The Smaller size is soft soled with a little grip for help. Great shoes.

Thank you, Ladies! I'm looking into every pair I possibly can :)

We have them in Keen sandals...they're kind of sandals. They're fabric straps with a rubber part over the toes for when they inevitably trip. We found them at a local shoe store which also has Stride Rite. I love love love them!

Pedipeds are great soft soled leather shoes. My son (who is 3 days younger than your boys) has a pair of the Harvey sandals and is able to get around in them very well.

I'm waiting for the responses too... I'm having the same problem finding soft soled shoes for Gianna since she just started walking too!

Jennifer, please let me know if you have any luck with shoes for the boys. Jackson has really fat feet, big surprise, so we've always had a hard time with shoes. He walks so much better barefoot. Every pair I've tried makes it too hard for him to walk!

I didn't think it was possible for the boys to get any cuter, but the walking is just adorable!! I don't have any advice on the shoes, but good luck with it!

Have you heard of Robeez? They are pediatrician recommended for new walkers bc the sole is very thing, allowing them to "feel" where they walk! They make sandals too!

Your boys are so cute!
